Electrical Engineer

Position Scope:

We are seeking an engineering professional to become a member of a highly skilled Engineering team that develops products across three brands. The right candidate must have successful Electrical design, troubleshooting, and test experience coupled with strong skills in project management, written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and tests electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within equipment or machinery. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Possesses thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques, as well as CAD and graphics skills. Aptitude to create test software for verification and validation of hardware designs. Has manual dexterity and skill to build prototypes from concepts, to test new ideas. Experience with assembly processes such as soldering, mechanical assembly, and wire/cable assembly both on a prototype level as well as production. Troubleshoot and isolate problems with designs as well as in house manufacturing equipment, and works under immediate supervision.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience

Required Skills:

This position requires the following skills and technical expertise:

  • Project Task Leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and Electrical drawings and schematics.
  • High Electrical and Systems aptitude and troubleshooting
  • Ability to write test software for embedded Systems (usually in C)
  • Familiarity with DFM, DOE, DFA, FEA & 6-sigma principles
  • Iterative development experience
  • Familiarity with Electrical CAD applications (Experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with electrical simulations

Duties:

  • Work within the Engineering team on system or sub-system level tasks
  • Revise existing system or sub-systems to improve functionality and reliability
  • Design circuits, prototype and test to demonstrate functionality with directions from Senior technical leadership
  • Participate in new product development

Machinist / Toolmaker

Position Scope:

Green Oxen is seeking a Machinist that will be responsible for fabricating parts to specification from engineering drawings by performing own set-ups on all shop equipment using manual lathes, vertical mills, surface grinders, and general machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities:

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for meeting production goals including machine utilization targets, performing inspection of all your work, fixture and tooling manufacturing where required. In addition, running secondary operations such as deburring parts, cutting raw materials, and general machine shop assistance. You will also aid in doing general shop maintenance, such as performing preventive maintenance on the equipment and cleaning of the general departmental area.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Machinist.
  • Must pose an excellent safety and attendance record.
  • Must have basic machinist tools.
  • Must possess independent-thinking abilities, be proficient in general shop math, and must be able to perform responsibilities with limited supervision.
  • Must be a self-starter, dependable, and able to complete tasks requested accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced teamwork environment.
  • Technical certification and/or equivalent work experience a must.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Scope:

Green Oxen is seeking an engineering professional to become a member of a highly skilled engineering team developing products for our three brands. The right candidate must have successful mechanical, pneumatics, and robotics design experience coupled with strong skills in project management and must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

Provide, as the principal contributor, the architecture and overall design of systems and sub-systems. Translate general, possibly vague, product requirements into definition, architecture and design for complex systems. Participate in definition, scope, subsystem breakdown, preparation of specifications and project scheduling. Exercise judgment within broadly-defined guidelines in recommending and selecting methods and techniques for complex projects. Must be proficient in theoretical and practical aspects of mechanical, pneumatic and robotics system and sub-system development, as well as architecture, design, specification, implementation, and test.

Qualifications:

This position requires the following skills and technical expertise:

  • Project Leadership

  • Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Robotic system development
  • 3-D modeling and design using CAD software (Inventor, Pro-E, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Tooling and manufacturing process experience

  • Familiarity with DFM, DOE, DFA, FEA & 6-sigma principles
